Attention! CORRECTION. Article 9 of the regulations has been amended and now reads as follows:
Each competitor may submit as many cheeses or dairy products as they wish per category, provided that no two cheeses are identical: they must differ in at least one characteristic (shape, stage of aging, flavor, etc.).

The chairs of the Cheese and Dairy Products Competition are Roland Barthelemy (photo), President of International Fromagers Guild, partner of the World Cheese Championship in Brazil; and Débora Pereira (photo), cheese teacher, journalist and general director of SerTãoBras.

The coordinating committee of the World Cheese Championship in Brazil also includes... General Commissioners of the Contest: Luciana Shizue Matsuguma, Gustavo Lacorte, Rosangela Freitas, Andréa Badaró and Matheus Victor Cordeiro.
The competition takes place in two stages. The first will be held at large hall of the B32 Theater, The medals will be awarded in a 600 m² glass space with a wide view of the outside world SuperGold, Gold, Silver and Bronze. In the second stage, at auditorium, a select group of supreme judges will evaluate the “SuperGold” cheeses in order to choose the best cheese in the competition.
The jurors - Brazilian and foreign - are recognized experts in the cheese-making world and/or professionals trained in sensory analysis and judging behavior courses promoted by SerTãoBras, since 2019, in partnership with the French school Mons Formation. An estimated 300 judges are expected to take part.
The cheeses will be evaluated anonymously, considering their external and internal appearance, texture, aromas and flavors. The competition rules were validated by International Fromagers Guild and Fédération des Fromagers de France.
In the 3rd edition of the competition, the “Morro Azul” cheese beat national and international competitors to win the title of Best Cheese in Brazil 2024.
