The competition has the official backing of the Concours de Meilleur Fromager du Monde, held at the Mondial du Fromage de Tours, in France. The winner of the Brazilian edition guarantees a direct place in the next edition of the world competition, which will take place in 2027, with airfare from São Paulo to Paris as part of the awards.

The competition is chaired by Annick Polèse (photo), president of Fédération des Fromagers de France, an international reference in the cheese sector.
As General Commissioner of the competition, we have Marina Cavechia, cheese maker from Teta Cheese Bar (Brasília-DF) and winner of the 1st Contest for the Best Cheese Maker in Brazil.
The Best Cheesemaker in Brazil competition is aimed at cheese merchants, chefs and sales agents of the artisanal or industrial cheese chain.
Candidates are selected through a pre-assessment on the basis of the application files.

1st Best Cheesemaker Competition (2022)
🏆 Marina Cavechia, from the Teta Cheese Bar (Brasília-DF), was voted Brazil's Best Cheesemaker in 2022.
🥈 Aline Biasuz, from Amor pelo Queijo (Passo Fundo-RS), came second.
🥉 Carolina Nalin, from Queijos e Amigos (Campinas-SP), came 3rd.
2nd Best Cheesemaker Competition (2024)
🏆 Anderson Aguiar, of Loucos por Queijo (São Paulo-SP), was elected the Best Cheesemaker in Brazil in 2024.
🥈 Cristiane Abade, from Emporio Montanara (Londrina-PR), came in 2nd place.
🥉 Juliana Cavalcante, from Lá do Interior (Socorro-SP), came 3rd.
