Laurent Dubois, chairman of the Cheese and Dairy Products Competition

Do you know who Laurent Dubois is?

As well as being president of the Cheese and Dairy Products Competition, Laurent Dubois, who was named “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” (Best Craftsman in France - cheese category), represents the Fédération des Fromagers de France, a partner of the 3rd World Cheese Fair in Brazil.

Coming from a family of cheesemakers, Laurent Dubois decided to start his career in a unique way by taking a tour of France, where he got to know the dairies and small producers.

In 1996, he moved to what would become his first cheese factory, on the rue de Lourmel, to put his ideas into practice and select his cheeses, establishing specifications of excellence with the producers.

It was in 2000 that his years of work were rewarded. Dubois was awarded the title of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France”.

Today, Laurent Dubois cheese factories embody excellence. From the origin to the presentation, including refinement and care. All of this requires knowledge of cheeses, know-how and rigor at every stage.

In June 2021, Laurent co-founded the Foundation for Cheese Biodiversity, a public benefit foundation under the aegis of the “Fondation de France”. Its aim is to support projects of general interest that contribute to the sustainability of local raw milk cheeses as an object of French culinary heritage, promoting biodiversity and good human health.

And in 2024, he will be at the Third World Cheese Fair, where he will be the chairman of the Cheese and Dairy Products Competition.
