Presenting international cheesemaking to Brazilians and bringing Brazilian and South American cheese culture to the world scene.

The goal is to compete Brazilian and international cheeses and identify the best.

Brazilian Cheese is getting stronger

The 2019 Brazil’s Cheese World Contest will increase the value of cheese culture. The competition will include an international and eclectic jury and participants from different areas of specialization: artisanal and industrial cheesemakers, affineurs, cheesemongers, chefs, gastronomy journalists and cheese lovers.

5PM – Official opening
6PM – Business mingling
7PM – Brazilian cheese tasting
8PM – Cultural presentation

August 9th – Friday

Technical program will be announced soon

12PM – Welcome lunch for the Guilde Internationale des Fromages at the Hotel
4PM – Presentation: World Cheese Trends by Arnaud Sperat-Czar, chef editor of the French magazine Profession Fromager
5PM – Sensorial analysis workshop reserved for judges of the Brazil’s Cheese World Contest by the French Cheese Master Claudine Vigier Barthélemy
7:30PM – Gala dinner reserved for judges

 

August 10th – Saturday

9AM to 12PM – World Cheese Competition
2PM – Meeting of the Special Jury Commission
3:30PM – Oral presentation of the finalist selected cheeses by the Special Jury to the public, and election of the winner
20h – Award dinner, concert and induction chapter of the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers. Publishing of the magazine Profissão Queijeiro (Brazilian edition of the magazine Profession Fromager)

 

August 11th – Sunday

10AM – Business mingling
11AM – Cultural presentation
12PM – World Competition Cheese tasting
1PM – Concert
2PM – Closing Ceremony

GAME  RULES

The cheeses will be judged by categories according to their technological family: soft dough with rinds, soft rinds, raw pressed dough, cooked dough, blue cheeses, pasta, and more … according to our regulation em Portuguese, English ou French.
